Samsara is a travel brand that makes smart luggage. After a few years in market, they came to The Brand Terminal to help relaunch the brand, focusing on their new range of products with Apple technology in five gorgeous colors. Our goal was to create a disruptive brand with modern storytelling targeting the digital nomad. We developed a gender neutral visual world combining the warmth and wanderlust of travel juxtaposed against the tech-forward nature of the product, which was developed for people who want to work from anywhere. So let’s dive into the sea of Samsara where the water’s perfect!

LUGGAGE THAT MOVES YOU

Samsara means continuous movement in Sanskrit. We leaned into this as our positioning to inspire a connected and liberated travel experience. Samsara is forward-thinking smart luggage and accessories designed to keep you moving.

GRAPHIC DIRECTIONAL CUES

We borrowed cues in both form and color from the luggage design as well as the most widely spoken language around the world–travel signage. The result was a unique application of these kinetic shapes in our branding to further emphasize motion and wanderlust.

FIND MY ________

When an Apple user loses a valuable Apple phone, laptop, iPad or iWatch, they go straight to Find My Phone, to locate its exact whereabouts. We designed Samsara’s launch campaign to tap into that same muscle memory and user behaviour, in order to be linked to Apple in a way that shows off one of our most powerful product benefits, without diluting the brand.
