Shawna Ruhkala is a Finance and Accounting expert with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for working with clients to organize and grow their businesses.
She started her career in public accounting at McGladrey & Pullen in San Diego as an auditor with a focus on mid-sized companies and gained experience in all aspects of the audit process. After McGladrey, Shawna worked at Sony Corporation of America in Los Angeles where she traveled internationally to audit offices in locations such as Japan, India, and Russia. During this time, she fell in love with learning about new cultures, people, and businesses. She then took her talents to NYC where she was the Assistant Controller at New World Realty, a real estate finance firm. Now back in LA and with her own consultancy, Shawna is using her 11 years of experience to assist female-run businesses to reach their fullest potential in the accounting and finance department.
Shawna excels in financial reporting, accounting for serviced-based companies, and creating processes to ensure their finance and accounting department runs efficiently.
